The Indian Lawyers Association (ILA) is a voluntary professional network of lawyers, judges, professors, and law students across India. With 100+ chapters nationwide and growing, ILA works to strengthen the legal profession, promote ethical standards, and support justice reforms.

Position: ILA Intern

Location: Remote (India)

Type: Internship

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist ILA’s leadership team and state chapters with coordination and administrative support.
  • Support planning and execution of ILA events, programs, and initiatives.
  • Assist in drafting communications, reports, and basic legal or policy-related content.
  • Support outreach activities and engagement with ILA members, partners, and institutions.
  • Actively contribute to expanding the ILA network by engaging with law students, legal professionals, institutions, and potential chapter members.
  • Help coordinate between different ILA chapters and support the formation and strengthening of chapters.
  • Assist with legal research, documentation, and day-to-day organizational activities.

 

Eligibility & Desired Skills (Undergraduate Law Students)

  • Undergraduate law student (BA LL.B, BBA LL.B, BCom LL.B, or equivalent).
  • Strong interest in the legal profession, justice reforms, and professional associations.
  • Good legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to engage, connect, and network with peers and legal professionals.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and capable of working independently in a hybrid/remote environment.
  • Familiarity with MS Office/Google Workspace and basic digital tools.
